Business community asks the City of St. John’s for immediate tax relief
Members of the business community have joined forces to demand action from the City of St. John’s as result of the negative implications on business from the 2016 Budget. The St. John’s Board of Trade was joined at a press conference this morning at Rocket Bakery & Fresh Food by business owners and representatives of Downtown St. John’s, the Restaurant Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, Building Owners and Managers Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, Destination St. John’s, and the George Street Association. The Canadian Federation of Independent Business is also part of the collaboration of business groups concerned about this year’s budget.
