Event Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation by the Board
The St. John’s Board of Trade reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If the Board cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

If an event is cancelled or the St. John’s Board of Trade office is closed, it will be posted on our Facebook page.

Registration Cancellation by Participant
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an event is two business days (48 hours) before the event. Due to the high cost of delivering events like the Business Breakfasts and Luncheons to the St. John’s Board of Trade, those with reservations who do not show and who do not cancel their reservation will be invoiced.

Signature Event Cancellation Policy (Golf Tournament, Business Excellence Awards and Business Development Summit)
The St. John’s Board of Trade maintains a 7 day minimum event cancellation policy for golf registration, business excellence awards registration, Outlook Conference registration and Trade Show exhibitor registrations. Cancellations made with notice of less than 7 business days are not eligible for a refund.  Unpaid registrations will be invoiced and payment will be required.

Transferable Registrations
If you are unable to attend an event for which you have registered, consider offering your spot to a colleague, staff member or customer as a gift. There is no additional charge to transfer your registration to someone else. Simply notify us by emailing mail@bot.nf.ca or call 726-2961.
